Hypnotherapy is a gentle, focused approach to emotional healing and personal growth. It uses guided relaxation and imagery to help you access a calm, receptive state - often called trance or hypnotic state - where your subconscious mind becomes more open to insight and positive change. In this space, limiting beliefs, emotional patterns, and inner conflicts can be explored with compassion and clarity.
Hypnotherapy isn’t about being “under” - it’s about being deeply connected to your inner world, with full awareness and choice throughout. Rather than losing control, you remain aware and empowered throughout the process. Participation in hypnotherapy is entirely voluntary and you can withdraw from the process at any time. I can’t make you do anything you don’t want to do.
It’s a deeply respectful practice that honours your inner wisdom and helps you reconnect with your most authentic self. Using my counselling experience, I draw on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) principles - such as identifying thought patterns, exploring core beliefs, and gently reframing inner narratives. This blend of structured insight and subconscious exploration can support lasting emotional change.

Personal Growth
Each session is a gentle collaboration, tailored to your emotional needs, personal goals, and pace. You'll be guided through a process that feels safe, respectful, and empowering. An initial introduction call will take place prior to the first session in order for me to explore what you would like to achieve and I can get to know you in order to personalise the sessions.
We begin with a brief check-in to explore what’s present for you emotionally and energetically.
Once you're comfortable, you'll be gently guided into a relaxed, focused state - often described as a daydream-like trance. Using symbolic imagery, affirmations, and tailored suggestions, we work through your goal and your intention. You remain fully aware and in control throughout. Hypnosis is not about being “under” - it’s about being deeply connected to your inner world.
After the hypnotic process, we take time to reflect on any insights or shifts that emerged. You may receive a calming affirmation, journaling prompt, exercise or ritual to support integration beyond the session. You’ll leave with a recording and are advised to listen to this 2-3 times in-between. Follow-up sessions deepen the work and each one will be a new experience.
The number of sessions required is variable but typically 3 is sufficient - additional sessions can be booked to your requirements. Factors that influence session count include the nature of the issue - Is it situational or longstanding? Client responsiveness - some people enter trance easily, others need time to relax into it. Commitment to change - hypnotherapy is collaborative and results deepen with engagement. Integration between sessions - listening to the recordings, using affirmations, journaling, or rituals can accelerate progress. Sessions can be in-person or online.
